During my time at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, I honed my design skills through theatrical lighting design—and I’ve been hooked ever since. To me, lighting is more than just illumination; it’s a way to paint the stage in emotional color, shaping mood, tension, and storytelling with every cue. In undergrad, I put those skills to the test, designing lighting for a play on a lightning-fast one-week deadline after joining the project just before opening night. Since then, I’ve run lights and sound for Saw The Musical: The Unauthorized Parody Of Saw, and I am always on the lookout for more opportunities to design lighting for Theaters. I’m also deeply interested in set and props design—because why stop at just one way to build a world?
